Circular economy is a new economic development model that preserves the value of physical resources while keeping resources within the economy for as long as possible, captures value at the end of its lifecycle in order to minimize raw material consumption, waste generation and value chain risks, and brings more flexibility to the economy. The circular economy also guides companies to reduce their costs and develop innovations while reducing their environmental impact.
Turkey Circular Economy Platform (TDEP), carried out in cooperation with SKD Turkey and EBRD, supports companies with its different tools in identifying circular opportunities and providing the solutions they will need to realize them.
Through the Circular Business Design Certificate Program, which operates as one of the TDEP tools and supports companies in taking concrete steps in the development of new products, services and business models by identifying opportunities in the circular economy; To date, 450 participants from more than 150 companies have developed and designed circular economy solutions specific to their own processes.
The "Circular Business Design Certificate Program", which guides companies step by step in developing circular economy strategies, is an online, applied training program consisting of 3 sessions and 19 different modules. Participants in the program will be able to gradually develop circular economy solutions focusing on creativity and innovation by reconsidering their current ways of doing business, and will have the opportunity to carry out design-oriented thinking activities that will reveal potential collaborations while designing circular economy solutions that create corporate and social value.
Program participants will also gain comprehensive information about circular economy opportunities, discover opportunities, and have the opportunity to create value for their companies by accessing global networks and knowledge. General Framework of Circular Business Design Certificate Program
Step 1 – Getting Started: Identifying Opportunities
In the first stage, the concept of circular economy, its principles, business models and strategies are examined in depth. Together with other companies, disruption values in existing value chains are detailed and the resulting circular business opportunities are evaluated differently for each company.
Step 2 – Design: Creating Circular Economy Solutions
In the second stage, practical work begins. Participants are guided through exercises designed to identify opportunities for improvement in resource use and selection, process and performance management. In this section, each participant is expected to identify three circular economy opportunities suitable for their company/process.
Step 3 - Implementation: Roadmap and Feasibility
In the final stage, participants work on project plans to scale and implement the circular economy approach they have determined for their companies. Each company prepares a roadmap to implement its circular proposition. All materials covered during the training are collected in an online Circular Business Canvas, and then the program is completed with the cyclical proposal presentation prepared by the participants.
General Information About the Program
• The program will be held online on the Zoom platform.
• The online collaboration platform Mural will be worked on throughout the training.
• The duration of the program consists of 2 full and 1 half days.
• There are gaps between training days for homework work and business plan development.
• Assignments, practices and training materials within the scope of the program must be completed by participants.
• Participation in the Application Workshops to be held within the scope of the program is mandatory.
Who can participate in the program?
• It is mandatory for at least 2 people from the same company to attend the training.
• It is especially recommended for employees from production and R&D, operations, marketing, sales and business development departments to participate.
Education Price
• For companies that are members of SKD Turkey and TDEP or have TDEP cooperation: 17.500,00 TL + VAT (2 Person Participation Fee)
• For companies that are not members of SKD Turkey and TDEP or have no TDEP cooperation: 20,000.00 TL + VAT (2 Person Participation Fee)
In case of additional participants from companies, the additional training fee per person is 3.750,00 TL + VAT.
