10th Transaction: Anadolu Etap & Sütaş
Turkey’s circular economy platform, Turkey Materials Marketplace (TMM), continues to bring companies together and support their activities relating to circularity. Recently, two of the TMM member companies Sütaş and Anadolu Etap have met and successfully collaborated through the platform.
Through this collaboration, Anadolu Etap’s treatment sludge is utilized in Sütaş’s Solid Waste Disposal and Biogas Facility. Within the last sixth months, a total of 40 tons of sludge was processed and converted into renewable energy.
At its bio gas facility, Sütaş produces electricity, hot water, steam and fertilizers by processing waste. Therefore, Sütaş has achieved progress on many goals, including reducing greenhouse gas emissions, recycling wastes and generating all the power needed from their biogas plants.
This collaboration between the two TMM members results in considerable energy cost reduction while providing significant ecological benefits by minimizing waste disposal quantities and emissions.

ABOUT SÜTAŞ
