Support from Republic of Turkey, Ministry of Environment and Urbanization to Turkey Materials Marketplace Project
Republic of Turkey, Ministry of Environment and Urbanisation has declared its support to Turkey Materials Marketplace Project through a support letter, signed on 21st of March, 2017:
"It is our prioritized policy to reduce the waste disposal costs by using wastes as raw materials, to reduce the waste amount that is sent out to sanitary landfill, to extend lifetime of sanitary landfills and to reduce natural resource usage by replacing natural resources with wastes, to adopt and generalize the near zero waste and the circular economy approaches in the industry.
In this context, it is evaluated as useful that the Turkey Materials Marketplace Project (TMM) would initially be developed for the non-hazardous wastes and the wastes utilized as alternative raw materials and by-products and that the preliminary study concerning the determination and transition of the End of Waste criteria to the regulation would be carried out within the scope of Near Zero Waste Programme."
